MY FIRST: SWAHILI WEDDING Part2

reception

Saturday night got here in style. 😎

Well you have an idea of the Beggi and Nikka from my previous post. So Saturday this happened:

'Reception'

This was also another invites only occasion and believe you me, you had to dress up to the invite! I'm talking about that
ballroom, going to dinner, going for my engagement, making a presidential speech kinda all-in dressing πŸ‘˜πŸ‘—πŸ‘’πŸ‘  and the makeup better make you look like J-Lo for the evening because that's how good you need to look to fit into the invited.
People ship dresses just for the reception and i'm not talking about the bride because she was definitely in her Porsche level already. πŸ‘°

You definitely had to sparkle brighter than the decoration which was top notch above and beyond spectacular.πŸ™†

look at the maching' thing' up there!

and the starter snack

They killed it at the table too with enough sugars to drive me mad. Chocolates🍫, mini-burgersπŸ”, sweets something something that i don't remember the nameπŸ˜†, juice, soda and water. Just for starters!.

The food came later after lots of dancing, gifting and flowering and it was above and beyond. The fact that every table gets a half kg of sweet cake πŸŽ‚ was just enough to tell you, she had my sweet tooth in mind. "Murida you're amazeballs!" sorry  foodies my phone got busy i skipped taking photos of the other meals.

I'm just letting my family and friends know that i'm having an invites only coz it has got to be quality+quantity over cheap thrills of pilau njeri people do. Thanks Murida for the tips of a beautiful reception.

And the bride came in white. She was stunning and breathtaking with her gown.

then came the groom in style..

*who saw what I did....bride in white and groom in style* πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

ow there is a video of him dancing for sure.....

This is when you actually know a man can rise up to the occasion, i believe a guy should be having some moves on his big day.

fyi: You have got to dance and win her heart all over again.
The beauty is the bride was seated on her royal seat watching him jigg down the aisle. It was a win for everyone i'm telling you.

Then we got to the grooms home town on Sunday;

'lunch at kilifi'

invites only, same kind of slaying, lots of biriani and awesome view of the beach. Sun and sand moments, amazing guests and that just sealed the brides journey to her new home.

I missed the grand drive-in of the bride and groom in a Porsche and the groomsmen were not so far behind from stunning in their red wine attires. But that was it for the beautiful swahili wedding.

just so you know:
  • Brides are NOT allowed to dance. but tell me if you have seen the Queen of england juju on any beat.
  • Holding events in the evening is like sunshine at night. All events happened in the evening besides the lunch at kilifi.
  • All occasion were women only, the men had their occasions separately except the groomsmen who were allowed to walk in to the reception area and lunch at kilifi with the groom.
  • On vow exchange, the bride wears green but wears white in the reception.

If you noticed, i  ran out of words because i cant really explain and bring out the awesome experience i had, and i cant put up videos and photos all over because faces are involved. i mean different strokes for different folks so i hope you enjoyed a sneak peek read of what i had, I'll make sure i gate crush to all different religious weddings just to share them with you.

To the couple: I wish you all this world could give and may Gods' favor and mercies shine upon your reunion, may you multiply and fill this earth with beautiful small pikins that look just like both of you in a juice blender. All the best of Love Murida and Omar.

disclaimer!

you get amazing friends in weddings too. I didn't know that till now, if you love love, you are more likely to find your soulmate there too, birds of a feather kinda thing.

so whose next in line??
